2013 ford f-150 Ecoboost 3.5 for sale by owner - Potsdam, NY - craigslist (2024)

This is a ridiculously long description. If you don't like reading or can't read, please move on. One of the things that bothers me most on CL is limited info. on postings and then I waste time calling and emailing only to find out item for sale is NOT what I thought it was or item is not what Seller tried to portray. I will give all info to the best of my knowledge so we don't waste each other's time. Daily driver and owned since 23000 miles- currently just under 112000 miles- highway miles as I live in Northern NY and commute to and from work via HWY each day. Inspection good till 01/2025. Clean title and owned outright by me. Not worked hard in any way- only used to pull my 19ft boat to our slip and to boat storage each year. Spray in bed liner. Non smoker. My dog goes in back occasionally but I put the rear seats up and cover everything in blankets and vacuum like a fiend to minimize any dog hair. Regular maintenance usually ahead of time. Synthetic oil changes religiously every 3000 miles- oil changed at 111000 so you're good till 114000 miles. Lots of work done over the yrs to keep it in solid running shape. I have a pile of receipts to prove what's been done. Within the last few yrs- NAPA Premium brakes and rotors all the way around, recent new parking brake lever/ linkage with all hardware and shoes, recent exhaust flex pipe, new water pump with anti freeze, A/C compressor and belt, A/C system vacuum, recovery, and recharge with new refrigerant, transmission drain and filter at 75000 miles and completed front and rear differential oil changes at same time as well as new radiator fluid, new spark plugs well before 100000 miles with anti-seize, complete replacement of front struts (complete units, not piecemeal fix--Bilsteins) and new Bilstein rear shocks in June 2023, new Sumitomo A/T 3 Peak tires (snow rated) at 108000 miles with alignment done at Emlaws in Potsdam NY (these are the heavy duty, more expensive A/T that Sumitomo makes with tougher sidewall and more tread depth)- tires were excellent in snow and ice and comparable or better than my previous BFG KO2s, new engine air filter every few months, etc, etc... I know that I am listing a lot of routine and expected maintenance of ownership but I want prospective buyers to know it was done. It looks pretty good and drives great and I would not hesitate to take it anywhere either short or long distance. Although it has been maintained very well, it is not perfect which is why I'm listing condition as fair. It is beginning to suffer from Northern NY rust disease along rocker panels, bottom of driver and passenger doors, and bubbling of paint lower rear posterior fenders and around rear wheel openings, beginning at posterior cab corners. It is not horrible but it is obvious. Everything seems solid so far- no holes through but the worst area is section of rocker on driver's side. This is an enormous annoyance bc I have had it undercoated every year since I purchased but at this point I'm like "whatever"- I still get it undercoated each year regardless. Of note, the frame is absolutely rock solid and I mean rock solid. My original plan was to keep it and drive the wheels off it but now I would like to get something newer. There are some other things that have come up you might want to fix but I'm not dealing with at this point. The front cigarette lighter stopped working after my wife used it to power the pump for her paddle board inflation. I thought it was fuse but my mechanic thinks that the fuses seem okay (I now use the back cigarette lighter for charging needs).The right running board has a slight bend in it (not horrible but it's there), gap in the right front bumper to fender is off a little bc someone backed into it the first week I had the truck while I was in Walmart-it's not awful so I never bothered with it), 4x4 works and shifts perfect on HIGH but has started to protest going into low when I was putting into 4 Low on my neighbor's property last year. I consulted my mechanic who said its totally fixable but cautioned against using 4 Low until fixed bc it could possibly get stuck there- needless to say I don't put in 4 Low at this point. As I said High works great and used it all winter without any issues. The last thing is the rear window defrost. I have already had rear window replaced X1 at Bailey Ford a few years ago in Malone bc the defrost stopped working. The entire window had to come out and brand new one go in to fix it. The defrost stopped working again this Fall. I left it and it was fine for me this Winter. I park outside at work all winter and I never had a problem with frosting of window as truck has remote starter with 2 remote starting fobs. The power sliding rear window works perfect. There was a video on YouTube I saw that showed the issue with defrost is a disconnect of the contact points over time bc of the sliding rear window movement. It can supposedly be fixed by someone who is handy. That is everything I know. I do realize that this truck has many more miles left in it for next owner but outside of regular maintenance I'd rather not 'fix' stuff anymore. Being polite and courteous will go a long way. I'll respect your time if you respect mine. I work at the hospital and am very busy with that and family life.
