Free Printable Pillow Box Templates

Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays where you want all the little cute things, but you may not have the energy or time to put in a lot of effort. Don’t worry! I’m here to help make your Valentine’s Day wishes come true!

I have a lot of Valentine’s Day crafts you can make in no time, like these scary good printable monster Valentine’s and these shining Valentine cards. Now, I am sharing my new Valentine’s Day free printables – doxie pillow box templates!

These simple gift boxes are the perfect size for party favors, a gift card, little cute things like small gifts, a love note, candy, and little treats for your pets, especially for dachshunds (doxies) featured on the dog Valentine box template. I created seven different a-dog-able template designs and will give you two for free in my Craft Vault for your personal use!

You can download these Valentine pillow box templates in many ways:

Not only are these Valentine’s Day free printables full of cuteness for all pet lovers, but they are perfect for filling with candies or small items for your human valentines! I have various prints featuring doxies and a version you can use with your Cricut to create a clear peekaboo window to see the candy peak through!

If you don’t have a cutting machine, don’t worry. These are super simple to cut out by hand with printable PDF files. If you do own a cutting machine, you can opt to scale these little boxes at different sizes too!

Supplies For Valentine’s Day Pillow Boxes

• 65-pound white card stock or decorative paper
• A printer
• Glue gun
• Clear tape
• Scissors or a craft knife
• Cricut cutting machine (optional; I used my Cricut Maker, although any machine that works with print then cut can do the job!)
• Scoring board or scoring stylus for your Cricut to work with the score lines.
• Clear cellophane (optional)
• Paper Blooms mat and rolling tool set (optional)
• Templates – 2 free designs in the Craft Vault here
• Templates – complete set of 7 (design #462 available for members!)

Instructions For Making Valentine’s Doxie Pillow Boxes

Step 1: Gather Supplies

Gather all the supplies you need and make sure your workspace is clean. Print the free templates (available above) or join the membership to get all seven designs!

Step 2: Cut

Cut out your doxie pillow box template. Use the PDF files if cutting by hand, or use the PNG images if you are using a cutting machine and load the images into Cricut Design Space. Here is how to upload an SVG to Cricut!

Step 3: Score and Fold

Score the curved edge and straight dotted lines with the mat and toolset, or bend gently with your fingers to make fold lines deeper.

If you are making a clear window in your Valentine’s gift boxes, go to Step 4. If not, skip Step 4 and proceed to Step 5.

Step 4: Peekaboo Window (Optional)

• If you use the clear window templates, it is recommended you use a cutting machine.
• Print and cut out the peekaboo window templates.
• Cut a piece of clear cellophane slightly larger than the windows created.
• Turn the gift box over, and tape or glue the cellophane along the inside, ensuring all the windows are covered.
• Go to Step 5.

Step 5: Glue

Add glue along the long edge first and close.

Step 6: Fold

Fold one side of the open sides of the pillow box inwards and secure it with glue. Make sure everything is dry and the glue is holding before continuing.

Step 7: Fill!

Add the candy of choice or other small treats and gifts, and glue the end of the box closed to finish off the cute packaging.

These cute dachshund-themed Valentine’s Day free printables are easy and fun for kids and adults! Fill these doxie pillow boxes with candy and love. You can use scissors or your Cricut cutting machine.

Materials

• 65-pound white card stock or decorative paper
• A printer
• Glue gun
• Clear tape
• Scissors or a craft knife
• Cutting machine (optional)
• Scoring board or scoring stylus
• Clear cellophane (optional)
• Paper Blooms mat and rolling tool set (optional)
• Templates - 2 free designs in the Craft Vault
• Templates - complete set of 7 (design #462 available for members!)

Instructions

1. Cut out the doxie pillow box templates (either the freebies or the full set). If you are using a cutting machine, use the PNG images.
2. Score along the dotted line with the mat and tools, or bend gently with your fingers.
3. Glue and close the long edge first.
4. Glue and close all but one short end.
5. Once the glue is dry, add candy and tape the remaining short side closed.

Give to a dog-lover, friend, or loved one, and enjoy Valentine’s Day!
